Caron Lindsay joined the party at 16 and has been involved in Lib Dem Women and its predecessor since the early 90s. 
She is a lifelong feminist and in 2016 she  proposed the motion on electing diverse MPs which brought in measures including all women shortlists to ensure greater representation of women. 
 
She is committed to ensuring that women are equally represented at every level of the party.
She is a previous co-chair of Scottish Lib Dem Women and is currently President of the Scottish Liberal Democrats.
